Located on the shores of Lake Windermere, the Waterhead Inn underwent an extensive refurbishment to create contemporary hospitality spaces while retaining the warmth and character expected of this popular Lake District destination. MJS Group was appointed by the main contractor as an on-site specialist sub-contractor to undertake the installation works within a defined package, combining bespoke craftsmanship with practical construction expertise throughout the on-site programme.
MJS’s scope included the installation and integration of bespoke joinery. We also provided site installation teams and site management, with responsibility for the on-site coordination of the works and trades, including day-to-day sequencing, site interfaces and health and safety. Working alongside the main contractor and other appointed trades and specialists, MJS coordinated activities on site with mechanical and electrical services, kitchen specialists, decorators, ceiling specialist and other packages to ensure works progressed efficiently and in line with the wider project programme. Careful attention to detailing and build quality, particularly across the joinery installation, helped create interiors that are both durable and welcoming.
The completed works reflect MJS’s ability to deliver high-quality specialist hospitality installation packages, combining skilled joinery installation with experienced site teams and effective on-site coordination within a wider main-contractor-led project.
